Welcome to K River Kennels the newest and premier facilities for Dog Training in Illinois and Wisconsin. We Custom Tailor each Training Program to the unique abilities of the dog while providing the owner the personal attention they deserve.

Developing dogs that Exceed Their Owners Expectations is NOT one size fits all. We only accept 8 full time dogs monthly into our program to Insure Complete Customer Satisfaction.

We provide:

Weekly updates with pictures and comments on the progress of your dog

24 hour phone availability to discuss your needs or questions with the trainer

Alan Ott, the owner, is the only one who will personally train your dog.

Veterinarian service on call 24 hours a day

We offer Professional Training for all breeds of Pointing Dogs and Hunting Dogs including German Shorthair Pointers, German Wirehaired Pointers, Vizsla's and other popular breeds.

We also offer Obedience Training at our facility or at your home from puppies to adult dogs.

Our goal is to provide the highest quality Dog Training and Dog boarding services and facilities available in Northern Illinois.

Owners Alan and Susan Ott have been training bird dogs in Illinois and Wisconsin for 12 years. We also raise Brittany Bird Dogs, have available Brittany Puppies and Brittany Started Dogs at times.

We line breed our own dogs to control aspects of a dog we look for, drive, desire, trainability, temperament and style.

From a companion hunting partner to a polished dog having completed AKC Hunt Test titles through the Master level we can help.

We can show you how easy it is to have a dog that will hunt close with intensity, steady to flush, shot or fall. In addition we use a low pressure method to teach force fetch to bring a dog along that will really enjoy retrieving.
